Umaama is a rising sophomore who grew up in hot, humid, and sunny Colombo, Sri Lanka (but has also lived in Indonesia and Malaysia!). She was most definitely not built for Cambridge weather (and may have accidentally worn flip flops in the dead of fall a couple times) but is now learning to embrace puffer jackets. She is having a bit of a crisis on what to concentrate in (Physics, CS, Gov, Religion??), but would love to chat about exploring different fields and interests and not knowing where you fall in the Humanities vs STEM venn diagram. Umaama also loves music (singing, listening, playing the ukulele) but cannot make playlists for the life of her (she is always taking recommendations though!). She is incredibly excited to be a FIP leader and cannot wait to welcome the International Class of 2028 and help them through the transition to the U.S. and Harvard!
