What can FIPers talk to you about?
Choosing classes, studying in the humanities, American culture, "Harvard culture," homesickness, or really anything else!
Why should a first-year choose FIP?
FIP is a network of friends that keeps on giving as the years go by. You don't want to miss out on finding your people.
Mari is a rising Junior at Harvard College living in Lowell House. Raised by American-expat parents, Mari has spent most of her life in Berlin, attending German school, surveying the techno-scene, and failing her German driving exams. At Harvard, Mari studies political and moral philosophy alongside applied ethics. When she’s not pondering metaphysics and morality in class, you can find her tinkering in the Lowell Art Room, (occasionally) running by the Charles, or (more often) taking a caffeine-fueled nap. Mari also spends her time editing Harvard’s premier political journal, conducting research through her fellowships, consulting with non-profits, and volunteering with PBHA. Mari loves the international community at Harvard: she met nearly all of her block-mates during FIP and spent the summer after her first year traveling through Europe with her FIP siblings. She is very excited to be back on campus with the 2020 FIP cohort.
