Hometown and Country
The Hague, The Netherlands
Woodbridge International Society, Radcliffe Pitches, Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum, Harvard College Dutch Society, Behavioural Insight Student Group, The Seneca... And probably many more things I am forgetting at the moment!
Favorite place in Harvard Square?
Cardullo's, for the amazing sandwiches!
What can FIPers talk to you about?
Anything and everything!
Why should a first-year choose FIP?
FIP was truly the most amazing experience I had during my Freshman Fall, and I decided to become a FIP leader because I wanted to pass this amazing experience on to new generations of Harvard Students! It's an amazing time to meet new people, get settled at Harvard, and just have loads of fun. I'm so excited to meet you all soon!
Barbara is a rising Senior from the The Hague, a lovely beach side city in the Netherlands. Before coming to Harvard, Barbara studied at the United World College in Wales, UK, and during her gap year after graduating she worked in Thailand and South Africa. Needless to say, she loves to travel!
At Harvard, Barbara lives in the wonderful Eliot House and studies Psychology as well as some Government and French, and no not get her started on why Psychology is the best subject ever because she'll never stop talking again. Apart from singing in the Radcliffe Pitches and Collegium, Barbara is the co-president for the Woodbridge International Society (the best student organisation on campus!) together with her FIP brother Claudio!
Barbara's favourite hobby is befriending all the animals that live in and around Harvard. Ask her about the altar she has in her room for Remy the cat, or stories of her adventures chasing squirrels, bunnies, turkeys, and even the illustrous Yard rat around campus!
