El Jefe's
What can FIPers talk to you about?
Pakistan, food in Harvard Square (and beyond), music (will shamelessly promote eastern classical), Cricket, making friends and getting out of your comfort zone!
Why should a first-year choose FIP?
To find a community that will understand what adjusting to a new culture, being far away from home, and navigating through college is like. It is truly home away from home.
Leader Bio
Asmer was born in Troy, NY, on July 4th, 2000. Yet, he still has the audacity to call himself an international student.
Moving back to Pakistan when he was still a toddler, Asmer grew up in the cities of Karachi and Lahore. At high school, he spent most of his time engaging in a plethora of public speaking activities, pursuing community engagement work, and learning how to play music. Asmer is currently a rising sophomore at Leverett House. At Harvard, you will most likely find him at Lamont Cafe in the middle of the night, or devouring a Nacho Bowl at El Jefe's Taqueria. He has a tendency to rant about colonialism, his plans to start going to the gym regularly, and his inability to complete any TV series. In his free time, he likes to draw and paint!
